On December 6, 2024, the China Cotton Outlook Forum 2024 (2024棉花展望论坛) took place in Qingdao, China. Invited and sponsored by the Organizing Committee, Mr. Trinh Tan Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Cotton and Spinning Association (VCOSA), and Ms. Duong Thuy Linh, Vice Secretary General and Head of External Relations, represented VCOSA and Vietnam’s cotton, fiber, and yarn industry at the forum.

The China Cotton Outlook Forum 2024 is a significant event that brings together experts and leaders in the cotton and spinning sectors from China and around the globe. At the forum, Mr. Trinh Tan Hoang, Vice Chairman of VCOSA, delivered a speech and participated in interviews with international journalists, sharing VCOSA’s insights and assessments of Vietnam’s cotton and spinning industry’s prospects, as well as opportunities to enhance cooperation between Vietnam and China.

During the discussion session, Ms. Duong Thuy Linh delivered an in-depth presentation on “The Current Status and Prospects of Vietnam’s Cotton Textile Industry.” Her talk covered the current status of Vietnam’s cotton and spinning sector, the operations of spinning and textile enterprises, trend forecasts, and the Vietnamese Government’s development plans for the textile industry (vision to 2035).
