Cotton Brazil Outlook Hanoi 2026 strengthens strategic connections between the Vietnamese and Brazilian textile industries

On May 25, 2026, Cotton Brazil Outlook Hanoi 2026 was successfully held in Hanoi, bringing together a large number of Vietnamese cotton, spinning, and textile enterprises alongside international partners from Brazil. The event once again affirmed its role as an important platform for fostering connections between the business communities of the two countries amid ongoing changes in the global supply chain landscape.

The program was organized by the Vietnam Cotton and Spinning Association (VCOSA) in collaboration with Cotton Brazil, with the participation of leading Brazilian cotton organizations, including the Brazilian Cotton Growers Association (Abrapa), the Brazilian Cotton Shippers Association (ANEA), and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen An Toan, Chairman of the Vietnam Cotton and Spinning Association (VCOSA), emphasized the importance of strengthening connections between Vietnamese enterprises and international partners as the global textile industry undergoes significant shifts in supply chains, sourcing strategies, and sustainability requirements.

He noted that Brazil has become one of Vietnam’s key cotton suppliers and expressed his expectation that direct engagement initiatives such as Cotton Brazil Outlook would create more practical cooperation opportunities between businesses from the two countries in the coming years.

Representing the Brazilian delegation, Mr. Celestino Zanella, Vice President of the Brazilian Cotton Growers Association (Abrapa), delivered welcoming remarks at the event and expressed his appreciation to VCOSA for its close cooperation and support in organizing the program in Vietnam.

He highly valued VCOSA’s role in connecting the Vietnamese textile business community with international partners and emphasized that Vietnam has become one of Brazil cotton’s key strategic markets and partners in Asia.

Mr. Zanella also reaffirmed Brazil’s commitment to expanding long-term cooperation with Vietnam’s spinning and textile sector through trade promotion activities, direct business engagement, and the development of a more sustainable supply chain between the two countries.

The event was further honored by the presence and remarks of H.E. Marco Farani, Ambassador of Brazil to Vietnam. In his speech, Ambassador Farani highlighted the growing economic and trade relationship between Vietnam and Brazil, while emphasizing the strong potential for cooperation between the two countries in agriculture, raw materials, and the textile industry.

According to Ambassador Farani, Vietnam has become one of the region’s key textile manufacturing hubs, while Brazil remains one of the world’s leading cotton producers and exporters. Strengthening direct engagement between enterprises from both sides would contribute to building a more stable, transparent, and sustainable supply chain for the industry in the years ahead.

Throughout the program, speakers and industry experts from Brazil shared insights on Brazilian cotton production and exports, global market trends, logistics, sourcing strategies, and the evolving dynamics of the international textile supply chain.

The event attracted strong participation from spinning mills, textile manufacturers, raw material traders, and supply chain stakeholders from Northern Vietnam. Beyond industry updates and discussions, Cotton Brazil Outlook Hanoi 2026 also provided valuable networking opportunities, enabling Vietnamese businesses to engage directly with international partners through networking sessions and the evening networking dinner.

Through this event, VCOSA continues to reinforce its role as a bridge connecting Vietnam’s textile business community with international organizations and partners, contributing to trade promotion, raw material connectivity, and the sustainable development of the cotton and spinning industry in Vietnam.
