A Global Gathering for Collaboration and Innovation
The WTMC 2025 brought together delegates from over 60 countries and regions, including representatives from international organizations, leading brands, research institutions, and textile associations.
The conference featured a series of major events such as the 2025 WGSN Fashion Future Conference, the 2025 Keqiao Fashion Week (Autumn Edition), the 27th China Shaoxing Keqiao International Textile Expo, and the High-Class China Textile Conference — a senior-level forum connecting leading textile executives and policymakers worldwide.
In his keynote address, Mr. Sun Ruizhe, President of CNTAC, highlighted three key drivers shaping the global textile industry:
- Openness for Development – fostering the free flow of capital, technology, and talent;
- Collaborative Innovation – integrating artificial intelligence into textile value chains; and
- Responsibility and Commitment – embedding sustainability as a core development principle.
On November 7, Mr. Nguyen An Toan delivered remarks at the Global Textile Industry Dialogue, sharing insights on Vietnam’s textile development strategy and efforts toward green transformation and circular production.
Vietnam’s Active Engagement
During the visit, Mr. Nguyen An Toan met with international partners and representatives from the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), as well as several Chinese and ASEAN enterprises specializing in sustainable fibre, digital supply chains, and advanced textile machinery.
The discussions focused on fostering cooperation in green materials, technology exchange, and capacity building for regional textile industries.
On the sidelines of the event, Mr. Toan also had a cordial meeting with Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuan, Assistant to the Deputy General Director, and Mr. Mark Sim, Consultant/Agent of CTG/Aurora Group, an active VCOSA members, to exchange updates and strengthen business linkages among association members abroad.
Since its debut in 2018, the World Textile Merchandising Conference has evolved into a major international platform for dialogue, cooperation, and sustainable development.
The 2025 edition once again positioned Keqiao as a global hub for textile trade and innovation, paving the way for a greener, smarter, and more inclusive future for the global textile industry.
VCOSA’s participation at WTMC 2025 underscores the Association’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international collaboration, promote sustainable practices, and advance Vietnam’s textile competitiveness in the global market.
