Ấn Độ gia hạn thực hiện QCO đối với sợi polyester đến ngày 5 tháng 10
Chính phủ Ấn Độ đã thông báo rằng việc thực hiện QCO đối với sợi 100% polyester spun xám và trắng đã được gia hạn thêm hai tháng rưỡi. Ngày thực hiện mới của QCO là ngày 5 tháng 10 năm 2023. Điều đáng chú ý là ngành dệt may trong nước đã phản đối mạnh mẽ việc thực hiện QCO do nhiều khó khăn và thách thức.
Ngày 17/7, Bộ Hóa chất và Phân bón Ấn Độ đã đưa ra thông báo xác nhận việc gia hạn. Theo thông báo, QCO cho sợi 100% polyester spun xám và trắng (IS 17265:2019) hiện sẽ có hiệu lực từ ngày 5 tháng 10 năm 2023. Ban đầu, việc triển khai đã được gia hạn đến ngày 30 tháng 6 năm 2023. Tuy nhiên, chính phủ đã không đưa ra bất kỳ thông báo nào để gia hạn thêm, vì vậy QCO đã có hiệu lực kể từ ngày 1 tháng 7 năm 2023.
Trong khi ngành dệt liên tục yêu cầu gia hạn, thì ngành kéo sợi thượng nguồn lại ủng hộ việc thực hiện QCO ngay lập tức.

India extends implementation of QCO on polyester yarn till Oct 5
The Indian government has today extended the implementation of Quality Control Order (QCO) on 100 per cent polyester spun grey and white yarn for two and half months. The QCO order will now be implemented from October 05, 2023. It is important to mention that domestic weaving industry was strongly demanded not to implement QCO as there are many teething troubles.
India’s Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has issued a notification today (July 17) in this regard. It said that 100 per cent polyester spun grey and white yarn (IS 17265:2019) will be implemented from October 05, 2023. Earlier, it was extended till June 30, 2023. But the government did not issue any notification to extend it further, so it came into effect from July 01, 2023.
While the weaving industry was consistently demanding for the extension, the upstream spinning industry was advocating for implementation of the QCO immediately.
