VIETNAM TEXTILE AND APPAREL ASSOCIATION GENERAL MEETING 2023

? Chairman Nguyen An Toan from the Vietnam Cotton and Spinning Association (VCOSA) being an honored guest at the VITAS General Meeting 2023, hosted by the Vietnam Textile Association (VITAS) and themed ‘Harnessing Intrinsic Strengths – Comprehensive Collaboration – Sustainable Development.’

? 2023 poses significant challenges for the Vietnamese textile industry, grappling with pressures on prices, costs, tight delivery schedules, and ensuring employment for workers. Additionally, market competition both domestically and internationally, along with policy mechanisms struggling to keep pace with trends, presents a challenge for the Vietnamese textile industry. The conference summarized the textile industry’s performance in 2023 and outlined opportunities and challenges for 2024. The industry aims to achieve an export turnover of USD 44 billion, a 9.2% increase compared to 2023.
