From November 11 to 15, Mr. Nguyen An Toan, VCOSA Chairman, represented the association at Ghana’s Textiles & Apparel Roadshow in Ghana. This participation was at the invitation of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI), with all expenses covered by the organizers.

During the program, Mr. Nguyen An Toan visited and met with representatives from key organizations in Ghana’s textile and apparel industry, as well as various international partners. Notable figures included Mr. Michael Okyere Baafi, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Ghana; Mr. Yofi Grant, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC); representatives from the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA); the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA); the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI); the International Finance Corporation (IFC); the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH; Job & Economic Transformation (JET); Bright Industrial Zone (BIZ); industry experts; representatives from Tex Styles Ghana Ltd.; and several other local businesses.

At various seminars and discussions, the VCOSA Chairman represented the association, sharing insights into Vietnam’s yarn industry and addressing questions from international and Ghanaian partners to explore and promote cooperation opportunities between Vietnam and Ghana in the textile and apparel sector.
The business trip concluded successfully on November 15, 2024.
