Gerald Steiner

Vice President – Head Sales Area Asia Pacific, Orient and parts of Africa

Gerald Steiner is responsible for sales within the territory Asia Pacific, Orient and parts of Africa in the Business Group Machines and Systems of Rieter, the world’s leading supplier of systems for short-staple fiber spinning based in Winterthur, Switzerland. Gerald holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Advanced Studies in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur.

He joined Rieter back in 2002 as an R&D engineer, took over Product Management responsibilities, before moving to sales about 8 years ago. His team covers 62 countries and promotes Rieter’s short staple spinning systems and digital solution.

Franziska Haefeli

Senior Vice President – Head Sales and Marketing

Franziska Haefeli is responsible for sales and marketing in the Business Group Machines and Systems of Rieter, the world’s leading supplier of systems for short-staple fiber spinning based in Winterthur, Switzerland. Franziska holds a Master of Arts in business innovation from the University of St. Gallen and has worked in the field of commercial excellence for industrial companies during her complete professional career. She joined Rieter in 2017 and has since then deep dived into the challenges of spinning short-staple fibers. Today her team is taking care of selling Rieter machines and systems globally as well as of product marketing, industry trends and new fields to be developed, recycling being one of the focus segments. Franziska is on the board of different organizations and foundations related to textile such as the Swiss textile school STF.

Jagadish Gujar

Associate Manager – Customer Education

Business Group After Sales

Mr. Jagadish Gujar holds an engineering degree in textile technology and an MBA in marketing. He has been with Rieter for 17 years, started his career at Rieter as a service engineer and was promoted later to product manager for the rotor spinning business. Since 2016, he has been focusing on customer training in his capacity as the customer training manager.

Jagadish’s core competence lies in the complete spinning process starting blowroom to end spinning. Next to typical machine training, he has developed several training modules in close consultation with customers worldwide to cover their exact needs. One such popular module is called “Mill Economics”.

Jagadish has conducted customer training programs at several spinning mills in the USA, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Türkiye, Uzbekistan and Egypt to name a few.

Carlos Rico is a highly accomplished textile industry executive with over 20 years of experience spanning Tech Support, Research and Development and Quality Control. He is the current Global Head of Tech Support at Recover™, the leading producer of recycled cotton fiber and cotton fiber blends, working directly with global supply chain partners to ensure the optimum quality of the product and production efficiency. Carlos has extensive industry knowledge, with a degree in Industrial Technical Engineering specializing in Textiles and over a decade of experience in Textile R&D before joining Recover™.
