December 6, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City – Mr. Do Duc Thinh, Chief Administrative Officer of the Vietnam Cotton and Spinning Association (VCOSA), and Ms. Nguyen Thuy Vi, Vice Secretary General and Head of Trade Promotion, represented the association in a meeting with Mr. Gaurav Shah – Organic Cotton Sourcing Specialist and other representatives of IFARM AGRI COMMODITIES PVT. LTD.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the current state of importing short fiber cotton for OE yarn production in Vietnam, the challenges of delayed material imports, and VCOSA’s ongoing research project. Representatives from IFARM AGRI COMMODITIES PVT. LTD presented samples of Indian short fiber cotton (process cotton, lickerin cotton, low-grade raw cotton) and proposed VCOSA act as a bridge to connect with agents and suitable yarn manufacturers.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and visions for Vietnam’s spinning industry and to discuss potential collaboration opportunities. IFARM AGRI COMMODITIES PVT. LTD is a private company established on November 10, 2021, primarily engaged in agriculture and cultivation in India.
