*** Thị trường sợi cotton ở Nam Ấn Độ đang phải đối mặt với sự suy giảm nhu cầu, dẫn đến giá giảm. Tại thị trường Mumbai, giá sợi cotton giảm 3-5 Rs/kg, giá vải cũng giảm. Thị trường Tiruppur giữ giá ổn định, nhưng có khả năng giá sẽ giảm hơn nữa do nhu cầu chậm lại. Tại Gujarat, giá bông giảm mạnh do tâm lý thị trường toàn cầu yếu và nhu cầu thấp từ các nhà máy kéo sợi. *** The cotton yarn market in South India is facing a decline in demand, leading to a drop in prices. The Mumbai market saw a decline of ₹3-5 per kg in cotton yarn prices with fabric prices also decreasing. The Tiruppur market has maintained steady prices, but there is a possibility of further price drops due to sluggish demand. In Gujarat, cotton prices have seen a sharp drop due to weak global market sentiments and low demand from spinning mills. However, a significant drop is not anticipated, and spinning mills may purchase if prices continue to fall.

  • In Mumbai, the 60 count carded cotton yarn of warp and weft varieties was sold at ₹1,460-1,490 and ₹1,320-1,360 per 5 kg (excluding GST), respectively. Other prices include 60 combed warp at ₹340-345 per kg, 80 carded (weft) cotton yarn at ₹1,410-1,450 per 4.5 kg, 44/46 count carded cotton yarn (warp) at ₹268-22 per kg, 40/41 count carded cotton yarn (warp) at ₹252-262 per kg and 40/41 count combed yarn (warp) at ₹275-280 per kg.
  • Prices in the Tiruppur market were noted as 30 count combed cotton yarn at ₹266-272 per kg (excluding GST), 34 count combed cotton yarn at ₹277-283 per kg, 40 count combed cotton yarn at ₹287-294 per kg, 30 count carded cotton yarn at ₹242-246 per kg, 34 count carded cotton yarn at ₹249-254 per kg and 40 count carded cotton yarn at ₹253-260 per kg.
  • The natural fibre has experienced a decline of ₹1,000-1,500 per candy (356 kg) over the last few days. Cotton was trading at ₹56,000-56,500 per candy of 356 kg. Cotton arrivals in Gujarat were estimated at 20,000-22,000 bales of 170 kg, while all India arrivals were projected to be around 80,000-90,000 bales of 170 kg.

According to market sources, RIL has set the price of PTA at ₹82.00 per kg, reflecting an increase of ₹0.70, MEG remains unchanged at ₹52.00 per kg, while MELT has seen a surge of ₹0.60, putting its new price at ₹88.20 per kg.

*** According to data monitored by SunSirs, as of May 30th, the price of water bottle grade PET had been in a weak trend, with an average price of 7,290.00 RMB/ton. This week, the price of PET was mainly weaker in a narrow range, with a slight decrease of 0.68% compared to the same period last week. The mainstream price was around 7,200 RMB/ton, and the overall market negotiation center declined.
