QCO đối với sợi polyester được thực hiện đúng tiến độ mặc dù có sự đảm bảo
Surat: Các doanh nghiệp dệt trong thành phố và các khu công nghiệp lân cận phải đối mặt với trở ngại khi các yêu cầu kiểm soát chất lượng (QCO) mới được ban hành đối với sợi polyester được thực hiện vào ngày 3 tháng 7 như dự kiến, bất chấp sự đảm bảo bằng lời nói của Bộ trưởng Liên minh rằng sẽ hoãn việc thực hiện thêm sáu tháng nữa.
Cục Tiêu chuẩn Ấn Độ đã hành động bằng cách thu giữ sợi polyester từ một doanh nghiệp ở Sachin do thiếu chứng nhận cần thiết, gây lo ngại cho cộng đồng dệt.

Ngành dệt đã yêu cầu các doanh nghiệp dệt được tham gia vào quá trình ra quyết định liên quan đến QCO. Các doanh nghiệp dệt lập luận rằng việc thực hiện các QCO mới sẽ có tác động đến nguồn cung sợi polyester nhập khẩu và tạo cơ hội cho các nhà sản xuất và nhà cung cấp địa phương giành quyền kiểm soát thị trường.

Despite assurances, QCO begins on polyester yarn
Surat: In a setback for the weaving unit owners in the city and nearby industrial areas, the newly introduced quality control orders (QCO) in polyester yarn came into force on July 3 as per schedule despite verbal assurances by the union minister for putting it on hold for another six months.
This has left the weaving community worried over the actions by the Bureau of Indian Standards when team have started seizing polyester yarn without required certification from a unit in Sachin.
Incidentally, a representation of the industry had met minister Mansukh Mandaviya in Delhi recently when they were assured that implementation of the QCOs will be put on hold for six months at least. The group comprising leaders including president of Federation of Gujarat Weaver Welfare Association (FOGWA) Ashok Jirawala and former president of Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ashish Gujarati had met the Union minister of chemicals and fertilizers.
“We were assured by the minister verbally but no notification to this regard has been issued till now. The authorities have started checking as per the new guidelines,” Jirawala alleged, adding that the industry stakeholders are hopeful of a notification soon. “It has become a cause of concern for the weavers now,” he added.
The industry demanded inclusion of weavers in the decision-making process for QCO. Weavers claimed that fresh QCOs will impact imported polyester yarn supply and give chance to local manufacturers and suppliers to control the market.
