Viscose prices have stayed frozen in the past days in China, over rising uncertainties on the market. Prices are however expected to bottom out in March, in line with seasonal trends.
Viscose fiber prices have stayed unchanged in the past seven days in China, over a lack of demand from the yarn industry.
The textile production is very slow in returning to normal this year, probably due to rising uncertainties about future trends.
The trade negotiations between the United States and China, and the economic slowdown are also forcing companies in delaying their decisions.
Viscose prices are however expected bottoming out in the coming weeks, as usual in this part of the year when seasonal demand for viscose is being boosted.
Fiber capacities have significantly risen in the past year but could now stabilize.
After experiencing a long-term decline, prices may experience an upward trend especially after many small plants have been shut down for not complying with new environmental rules.
