Giá bông tăng lên mức cao nhất trong 6 tháng sau khi Mỹ cắt giảm dự báo vụ mùa
Giá bông tại New York đã tăng lên mức cao nhất trong hơn 6 tháng sau khi Mỹ cắt giảm dự báo về sản lượng trong nước hơn 15%, mức giảm này thậm chí còn thấp hơn cả ước tính thấp nhất của các chuyên gia về quy mô vụ mùa này.
Giá bông kỳ hạn giao tháng 12 tăng đáng kể lên tới 3,1%, đánh dấu mức tăng trong ngày lớn nhất trong vòng một tháng, lên đến 88,8 cent mỗi pound. Đây là mức giá cao nhất cho một hợp đồng được giao dịch phổ biến nhất kể từ tháng Giêng.
Mỹ dự kiến sẽ có vụ mùa bông thấp nhất kể từ năm 2015 sau những thiệt hại do hạn hán gây ra, theo báo cáo hàng tháng của Bộ Nông nghiệp công bố hôm thứ Sáu. Việc giảm sản lượng này dự kiến sẽ thắt chặt nguồn cung bông toàn cầu, đặc biệt là khi nhập khẩu từ Trung Quốc, nước tiêu thụ lớn nhất, dự kiến sẽ tăng.

Cotton Surges to Six-Month High After US Cuts Crop Forecast
Cotton prices surged to the highest in more than six months in New York after the US slashed its forecast for domestic output by more than 15%, undercutting even the lowest of analysts’ estimates for the crop’s size.
Futures for December delivery jumped as much as 3.1%, the biggest intraday gain in a month, to 88.8 cents per pound. That’s the highest price for a most-active contract since January.
The US is expected to harvest the smallest cotton crop since 2015, following drought-led losses, the Department of Agriculture said Friday in its monthly report. That’s set to tighten global supplies of the fiber at a time when imports from top consumer China are expected to rebound.
