VCOSA Participates in the Conference “Italian Spinning Mills – Excellence, Innovation & Business Opportunities”

On September 16, 2025, at Casa Italia (Hanoi), the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM), under the patronage of the Embassy of Italy, in collaboration with industry associations and textile partners, organized a thematic conference and B2B networking program with leading Italian spinning manufacturers.

The conference was attended by Mr. Tran Thanh Quyet, Executive Director of ICHAM; Mr. Guglielmo Caggiano, Commercial Attaché – Embassy of Italy in Hanoi; Mr. Nguyen An Toan, Chairman of the Vietnam Cotton and Spinning Association (VCOSA); Mr. Luciano Bandi, Textile Expert; and Italian business representatives including Mr. Filippo Pozza (Edoardo Miroglio), Mr. Simone Zanni (Filmar), and Ms. Serena Porzionato (Zegna Baruffa).

The event drew strong interest from enterprises and organizations in Vietnam’s spinning and textile sector. Representing the Vietnam Cotton and Spinning Association (VCOSA), Mr. Nguyen An Toan – Chairman of VCOSA attended and delivered a keynote speech.

In his remarks, the VCOSA Chairman emphasized the pivotal role of the textile industry in Vietnam’s economy, while highlighting new challenges related to raw material quality, green standards, and integration into global supply chains. He affirmed that direct cooperation with reputable Italian spinning manufacturers would generate tangible benefits by combining Italy’s high-quality materials with Vietnam’s large-scale and flexible production capacity.

Mr. Toan also reflected on notable milestones in bilateral cooperation, such as the establishment of the Italy–Vietnam Textile Technology Center (2017) and the FABRICA Exhibition (2024), which demonstrated the strong foundation of collaboration between the two countries. He called on Vietnamese enterprises to seize this opportunity to connect directly with Italian partners, reaffirming that Vietnam is a reliable partner and strategic destination for Italian businesses looking to expand markets and global supply chains.

During the conference, Italian spinning enterprises including Edoardo Miroglio, Filmar, and Zegna Baruffa showcased a wide range of products—from premium cotton yarns and luxury wool to synthetic fibers—together with technological solutions designed for sustainable production. This provided Vietnamese businesses with valuable access to trusted partners, new material solutions, and opportunities to strengthen their participation in international supply chains.

The afternoon B2B sessions served as a practical bridge, opening up promising avenues for long-term cooperation in raw materials and spinning technologies between Vietnam and Italy.
