- Ngành dệt may của Ấn Độ phụ thuộc nhiều vào sợi FDY và POY nhập khẩu, chiếm 90% nguồn cung. Đại diện của ngành đã kêu gọi chính phủ loại bỏ các loại sợi này khỏi chứng nhận bắt buộc của Cục Tiêu chuẩn Ấn Độ (BIS) theo lệnh kiểm soát chất lượng (QCO).
- Giá bông kỳ hạn trên ICE giảm xuống mức thấp hơn một tuần vào thứ Ba, do sức ép của đồng đô la mạnh và lo ngại về nhu cầu từ Trung Quốc, nước tiêu dùng chính.

* The dollar index (DXY) hit an over 10-month high, making the natural fiber less appealing to overseas buyers.
* “Today we made a new high in the dollar and that’s not friendly for the (cotton) market,” said Jim Nunn, owner of Tennessee-based cotton brokerage Nunn Cotton. “With the Brazilian currency being weaker against the dollar, it’s going to make Brazilian cotton more attractive. This might prompt Brazilian farmers to sell to China,” Nunn added.
